9/19 - Congratulations to DOA, Puffin, and Rum
at Six for competing in the 2004 J105 Nationals in Marion, MA. No
one from our fleet made it into the top 10, but Rum at Six managed
a 3rd and a 4th in the 8 races, Puffin got a 5th, and DOA pulled out
a 2nd on the last day.
3/30 - Congratulations to DOA, Puffin, Rum at
Six, and Revelation for all qualifying for the Southern Circuit challenge.
Zuni Bear from California was the overall winner. Fleet 11 member
Dead on Arrival won the Sportsmanship Award by competing in all three
regattas and "promoted sportsmanship and the best interests of
the Class".
3/29 - Congratulations to Dead on Arrival on
their 3rd place finish at Charleston Race Week. Fleet 11 members competing
were DOA, Merrythought, Puffin, Rum at Six, Absolutely! and Revelation.
3/01 - Fleet 11 members DOA and Rum at Six competed
in the Acura SORC this year, finishing 6th and 7th, respectively.
11/17 - Congratulations to the Fleet 11 competitors
who went to Key West this year. Results were Rum at Six (8) Puffin
(9) Dead on Arrival (16) and Revelation (26).
11/17 - Four of our Fleet 11 members have committed to participate
in the 2003 Key West Race Week. Good luck to Rum at Six, Puffin, Dead
on Arrival and Revelation.
11/01 - Congratulations to David Guggenheim of Savannah on his recent purchase
of a J105. David is the regular bowman on Dead on Arrival, but we expect to see his new purchase competing in the local regattas.
10/27 - Congratulations
to Worth Harris and the crew of Rum at Six for their win in the inaugural
Fall Southeastern J105 Championship. The race was hosted by the South
Carolina Yacht Club and sailed in Calibogue Sound. With light
to no air on both days, Rum at Six managed to consistently find the
shifts, stay out of the current and win 3 of the 4 races.
